Every week, we choose a different piece of interesting historical art to send you based on the frequency of your subscription. We lovingly and carefully curate our selections to make sure every member of our community gets an interesting variety of prints. Because a lot of the art we choose is from lesser known artists, or lesser known pieces in their collection, they're often faded or damaged. We professionally restore these pieces, repairing damage and restoring their original vibrancy, so you get a unique print you won't find anywhere else. And every card comes with information about the piece and the artist on the reverse, so you become an expert in your own collection.

Every Thursday, we send out our newest print to our weekly customers, and they arrive within 3 - 5 working days. If you're a fortnightly customer you'll be included in every second delivery; monthly customers will be included in the last delivery of the month. We print on 350gsm A5 paper (6x9 in the US) - that's higher quality than most prints, which usually come on 170 to 250gsm paper. And to keep your order safe, we package it in an environmentally friendly, fully recyclable envelope at no extra cost. If you miss a piece, you can buy a one-off print from our back catalogue.

Art by Card was founded by me, Joe - an actor, voice over artist and photographer who's more than a little tired of Yet Another Advert with terrible AI graphics and faux-sincere text written by a robot because someone wants you to sign up for their vibe-coded app. In my day job I'm a creative director and marketing professional who uses the powers of evil for good, mostly working for charities and NGOs. I lovingly curate each month's selection of art or photography, and design the postcard myself.
The idea for Art by Card came to me as a response to how AI is being trained on huge collections of historic art to try and replace modern creatives. These artists deserved better than to have their work fed to a machine and used to make corporate sales decks. Art by Card is all about helping people rediscover a lost world of diverse, interesting creatives and bringing their work back to life.
But in the future, I want to turn Art by Card into a platform for new artists and photographers to find their audience - and get paid for it. In the future, as well as historic pieces, we'll commission work from small and new artists and help you to discover them. So for less than the price of that app you keep forgetting to cancel, you can help grow a community for real creatives as you build your own unique art collection.
